Seems like you and I have the complete opposite taste in games, lol. With that said, it’s interesting to hear the thoughts of someone who’s experienced most of these games far differently from myself. Great post, OP. This is an incredibly dedicated and fair write up, despite my original reflex to want to dispute your rankings. I’m glad you were able to spend some time with them I’m A Multitasker I Can Listen Ignore And Forget All At The Same Time Vintage Shirt. I can’t say I know that name, no. My favorite setting is probably a grounded/structured high fantasy but I think the real common theme for pulls me into a game is mood or atmosphere. However a few weeks ago I did play The Fall which I think would sit squarely in a techno nightmare – and I really enjoyed it. I thought I knew what was coming at the end and I definitely did not. While I do not necessarily agree with all of your rankings, I did enjoy this thorough write up. This post was great for getting a perspective on differing viewpoints for certain titles. I don’t think Spec Ops: The Line ever intended to provide an “authentic” experience. For example, the game’s actual geometry doesn’t make sense in the real world. The characters always move downwards. There is one part in the game where you descend through a building for 10 or 20 minutes just to come out on the roof of another building.

It’s an impossible, surreal environment. It’s narrative symbolism by way of world design. Whether intentional or not, the weak gameplay actually serves the themes of the game. This is an I’m A Multitasker I Can Listen Ignore And Forget All At The Same Time Vintage Shirt? and the weak gameplay supports that. There is no reason for the protagonist to keep pushing forwards. And no reason for the player to keep pushing forwards, except for the misguided belief. That there will be a payoff at the end, that through all this senseless, monotonous violence you’ll somehow make the world better. Then it’s really a nice shirt for all men and women. So you should buy this shirt.
