When someone interjects “belief” into a data and evidence-driven argument, the debate is over. These people have intertwined faith and politics to a point that they can’t differentiate “belief” and “fact”. So good. So happy. Ok.

They just aren’t afraid of being ridiculed because it’s entered the mainstream. It’s no longer a crazy fringe belief if a huge chunk of the population believes it. I don’t agree with this at all. It amuses me that you talk about this like it’s a minor irritation in American life when in reality it will be one of the biggest causes of either a second civil war or the breakup of the United States of America.
