On the one hand, people will tell you a dog is nothing like a child and Nice St Patrick’s Day Dog Pug Crawl for Dog Lovers Shirt is a good choice. On the other, they’ll chastise you for putting your child first. I agree that you should attempt everything possible before giving up on the dog. But people also put their parents and disabled children into homes when they’re unable to care for them. If you physically, financially, and emotionally cannot support the dog and your child suffers for it, difficult decisions need to be made. Have you considered adopting another dog or cat to give him a buddy again? Not a puppy because that would be adding too much to the workload but a younger dog, or cat that can be another buddy for him?
Nice St Patrick’s Day Dog Pug Crawl for Dog Lovers Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck
Seeing as how is 13 with a probably painful disability and incontinence, why is euthanasia not an option? It would probably be kinder then rehoming at this stage in his life. What about a type of rolling back end support to help keep his body where it’s supposed to be, helping the diapers remain in place? Or a different type of diaper? Maybe a dog run for him or an area blocked off where baby can’t crawl in his messes? Just spit-balling ideas now. Have you heard of belly bands? Some people use them during training phases, but I hear they can be harder to wriggle out of than standard diapers. Maybe they could help!

Absolutely be more firm with the vet, though also confirm why she feels hesitant about medication. I take medication to control my anxiety, and honestly. Then it has made such a difference in my quality of life. While training can absolutely help medication can absolutely be an option. The dog sounds like it’s got no quality of life at all and I’m astonished at so many YTA’s here. I can only assume emotion has overtaken logic here.
