I was going insane and there was nothing I could do to make her stop. Then, on the last 5-hour leg of the trip, I figured I would try not giving her the medication, and she slept the whole time and didn’t make a sound. How is that stuff prescribed so easily in the US? My doctor here in Europe basically told me ‘I could prescribe you that, but really you should probably stay away from it and deal with the anxiety. Way too addictive. I know a lot of people like your brother.

They aren’t dirty drug addicts, but their doctors? Very dirty. ’m gonna play devil’s advocate and say that there really isn’t any other drug equally as effective at immediately reducing anxiety and stopping/preventing panic attacks. But I’d agree that generally, doctors are too quick to prescribe it. Apparently there are antibiotics for cleaning up fish tanks. It’s relatively cheap, sold on amazon, and is 100% the exact same chemicals use for antibiotics for people. Not recommended unless you have pretty much zero other options, but it apparently works.
