It does make me sad how so many hate on that film, but it is the kind of slow burn that just doesn’t appeal to everyone, and as you said, people had developed a lot of expectations for the film that set them up for disappointment. Maybe in time, people will come back to it with more of an Official Choose Your Weapon Shirt. It was a very powerful experience for me too! Yeah, I was surprised to see it on the list. I loved practically every other film on this but just thought It Comes At Night was terrible. I love a good edge of the seat slow burner with a good payoff, but this was the exact opposite. Brilliant movie. And I was impressed with how the director actually shot night scenes.

You’re spot-on with Berserk’s third film being classified as horror. I’ll have to check out Faults and The Laplace’s Demon, neither was on my radar. Thanks! Still sad that the team behind the film versions didn’t get to carry on with the Berserk story, but what are you gonna do. Glad I could put you on to some new stuff, I hope you enjoy them! The original was very scary, but I’m the type that gets more out of less or responds to the “Official Choose Your Weapon Shirt. I thought the follow up (ignoring the silly first sequel) was very effective at recreating the horror. Especially the end, spending even more time in that awful house… I do agree that the ending pulled out some good moments.

Thanks! My favorite horror-related documentary of the Official Choose Your Weapon Shirt. The Shining was already one of my top movies of all time, and the doc managed to point out details I hadn’t noticed before, while also quite entertainingly laying out the conspiracy theories associated with the film. The conspiracy theories in Room 237 were wild haha. Sadly I wasn’t as enamored with the documentary, but the content was very interesting!
